Hi! I’m Haven Quinlan, the founder and owner of Health by Haven. Thanks so much for popping onto my website!

I’m the host of the Health by Haven Podcast and a Holistic Health and Wellness Coach. I earned my Certificate in Nutrition and Healthy Living from Cornell University in 2021, and my Health Coach In Training Certificate from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2026. I’m also a Pure Barre instructor and multi-time marathoner and half-marathoner.

You may be wondering how I became passionate about the world of health. I feel very fortunate that I grew up with a mother who instilled healthy eating habits and a father who modeled dedication to fitness. I know that’s not the case for everyone, so I’m here to share these values with you!

I grew up very active, playing every sport possible before pursuing dance as my primary sport. I danced on my D1 collegiate dance team but felt lost in the fitness world without dance after graduating college. I found Pure Barre in graduate school, and I loved it so much that I became a certified Pure Barre Classic instructor in 2019. I went on to earn my certifications in all of Pure Barre’s class formats, and even served as the lead teacher of two studios and sales manager of one.

Exercise is an area of health I’ve always enjoyed and known was beneficial for my body, but it wasn’t until I fully immersed myself into the health and wellness world (books, podcasts, articles, you name it), that I realized health was so much more than exercising and eating vegetables.

I suffered for years with debilitating gut issues – IBS and Functional Dyspepsia – and after a decade of GI doctor visits, tests, labs, and too much time and money spent fretting over treating the symptoms – I began to search for the root cause of my chronic health issues.

I wanted to learn more, so in 2020 I enrolled at Cornell University to earn my certification in Nutrition and Healthy Living. I learned so much about nutrition, holistic health, and the mind-body connection. I began understanding how stress can cause chronic health issues, and for me it was presenting as GI distress. After working on regulating my nervous system I began feeling so much better, and I wanted to share it with the world. And thus, Health by Haven was born!

Since 2020, I’ve developed hundreds of healthy recipes, coached clients to build sustainable, healthy habits, and started the Health by Haven Podcast in 2024 to share inspiring and informative guest interviews and solo episodes on a variety of topics that affect our health and well-being.

In 2025 I decided I wanted to further my knowledge of holistic health to benefit my coaching clients, podcast listeners, and substack subscribers, so I enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. The information I’ve gleaned from this program has been so insightful. I’ve learned how integral joy is in our overall health, and I want to share the joy of healthy living with you!

Just by being here you’ve made the decision to prioritize yourself and invest in your health, and for that I celebrate you!

Thank you for being here and for allowing me to guide you in simplifying healthy living so you can live your happiest, healthiest life!
